Configure the Localphone Softphone for Linux
This guide describes how to install the Linux version of the free Localphone Softphone. See the softphone download page for more information about the application and how to get it.
You can find you SIP registration details under the VoIP section of your Localphone Dashboard.

Download the Installer
When prompted, opt to save the Linux installer file to disk.

Extract the Application
When the download has completed:
- Extract the localphone-linux-installer.tar.gz file
- Create a “.localphone” directory in your home directory
- Copy the provision.conf file from your extracted directory to the newly created “.localphone” directory
- Now you can run the binary “localphone” file from your extracted directory to execute the Localphone softphone.

Launch the Localphone Softphone

Enter your site username and password (or your SIP ID and SIP password). The application will then automatically configure itself and you can start making calls straight away.
